The Conscious Home

A healthier home starts with awareness.
Personalized healthy-home education that helps you understand what’s in your home, decide what you want to change, and create a realistic plan without feeling overwhelmed.

How The Conscious Home Works

At The Conscious Home, the goal is simple: help you make healthier choices in your home without feeling overwhelmed.

Instead of trying to change everything at once, we focus on the areas that matter most to you. Every visit is personalized around your priorities, your lifestyle, and your budget.

1. Personalized Healthy Home Walkthrough

We begin with the areas of your home you want help with most. That may include:

• Beauty and personal-care products
• Cleaning and household products
• Cookware, plastics, and food storage
• Drinking water and filtration
• Indoor air and air purification
• Bedroom and sleep environment
• Lighting and blue-light exposure
• Wi-Fi, electronics, and EMFs
• Electrical line noise
• Children’s or pet products

As we go, I’ll explain what I’m noticing and answer questions so you understand the why behind each recommendation.

2. Clear, Realistic Recommendations

You won’t be told to throw everything away or replace your entire home overnight. We’ll organize your options into three simple categories:

KEEP – Things you’re comfortable continuing to use.
REPLACE WHEN READY – Things you may want to swap out when they run out or when your budget allows.
PRIORITY CHANGE – Changes you may personally want to address sooner based on your goals.
The point is to make the process manageable, not stressful.

Why I Created The Conscious Home

About nine years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and went on disability. Suddenly, I had a lot more time to research what might be contributing to how I was feeling, and that opened my eyes to just how many things we’re exposed to in our homes every single day.

I started learning about cleaning products, fragrances, cookware, plastics, drinking water, indoor air, personal-care products, EMFs, sleep environments, and more. As a former makeup artist, learning about some of the ingredients in makeup, shampoo, skincare, and other beauty products I had used and recommended for years was especially eye-opening.

At first, I tried to change everything at once. I spent countless hours researching ingredients, comparing products, reading labels, and trying to figure out what was actually worth changing. It became overwhelming very quickly. Over time, I learned that creating a healthier home doesn’t have to happen overnight. You can prioritize what matters most, make changes gradually, and work within your own budget.

My experiences with mold in several homes also pushed me to learn much more about mold, mycotoxins, indoor environments, and how the places we live may affect how we feel. It became such a big part of my life that friends and family started coming to me with questions about mold, products, water filters, EMFs, ingredients, and what they should change in their own homes.

I realized I had essentially been helping people with this for years — I just wasn’t calling it a business.

That’s why I created The Conscious Home.

I want to save other people the hours of research, confusion, and overwhelm that I went through. My goal isn’t to walk into someone’s home and tell them everything is bad or that they need to replace everything at once. It’s to help them understand what they’re using, learn about their options, and decide what changes make sense for their priorities, lifestyle, and budget.

I want every client to leave knowing:
What can I keep?
What can I replace when I’m ready?
What do I want to prioritize first?

Because creating a healthier home isn’t about being perfect.
A healthier home starts with awareness.
